I support the Laurel Branch Picnic Area alternative. This would allow the public restricted access and at the same time preserve the natural resources of the Park.
In fact Laurel Branch Picnic Area could become a long-term finance solution for Swain County by a fee being charged either by groups or individuals. The only thing about the Laurel Branch Picnic Area that I would be concerned about is the paving of the road. I haven't been to Lakeview Road, thus I don't know how close it would be to Laurel Branch or any other stream, but I wouldn't want it/them to get polluted in the process, however if the new, two-way road can safely be paved, I'm all for it.
