Although we were unable to attend any public hearing on the matter, we welcome the opportunity to provide written comment on the DEIS and laud your extensive outreach efforts toward securing public input for your final decision.
You guys at the Arcadis content analysis team – hold your head high and sleep well at night by doing your part to make sure voices in support of preservation come most clearly through the comment process. Don't take the risk of knowing when you retire that your firm has made the world a poorer place.
Perhaps a more productive approach might be to say, here is the conclusion we want now send us the appropriate e-mails and letters to support our position. So in that spirit, please let us know what conclusion you are after and we will try to give you the ammunition you need to support your position.
I am also of the opinion that only the people of Swain and Graham Counties should be the only ones with a say so in this road. We are the ones who had to give up our land and our road for the lake. We have never been involved in any of the discussion or development in Tennesee, which has been very extensive.
The DEIS is flawed in that it does not represent the overwhelming support for settling this issue without building the road.
