SEPTEMBER 2003 PUBLIC WORKSHOPS: EXISTING CONDITIONS

The Public Workshop series was held during September 2003 in the following locations: Bryson City, North Carolina; Asheville, North Carolina; North Fontana Dam, North Carolina; Knoxville, Tennessee; and Gatlinburg, Tennessee. As detailed below, the meetings were primarily held at hotels and a local high school. Many visitors attended multiple meetings for the additional opportunity to: talk with the project study team, digest the project information, support other individuals with similar concerns, and/or provide additional input.
