FEBRUARY/MARCH 2004 COMMENT SHEET SUMMARY

This phase of the project examines comments collected about the preliminary alternatives developed for the North Shore Road EIS. While some respondents directed feedback specifically toward the preliminary alternatives, others provided comments on other aspects of the EIS, including the planning process, impact analysis, the timeframe, technical studies and research, and the study outcome.

The following are summaries of comments received about the preliminary alternatives. The information presented was derived from individual input related to the North Shore Road EIS Project. Public comments were obtained through transcripts and other written correspondence collected at the public workshops (court reporter transcripts, comment sheets, and public notecards), and correspondence sent to the project post office box, the North Shore Road project Website, the NPS, and the FHWA. The tone and content of the following summaries represent the views of the individuals who provided input and do not necessarily reflect actual events and/or factual information.

The following are comment summaries organized by each of the five, open-ended comment-sheet questions. Please click on each of the comment sheet questions to review the summary of public comments corresponding to each question.
