This phase of the project examines comments collected during the Impact Analysis Phase of the EIS process. While some respondents provided feedback specifically on the detailed study alternatives and resource topics, others provided comments on other aspects of the EIS, including the planning process, NPS policies and management, and technical studies and research.
The following are actual comments received during the Impact Analysis Phase. Public comments were obtained through transcripts and other written correspondence collected at the public workshops (court reporter transcripts and comment sheets), and correspondence sent to the project post office box, the project website, the NPS, and/or the FHWA.
The following comments represent the views of the individuals who provided input and do not necessarily reflect actual events and/or factual information.
The comments are organized by each of the four comment-sheet questions and the topics to which they relate, with subsections provided for those topics that received a large number of comments. Comments not submitted through comment sheets are organized by main topic.
